Dr. Lugo is a Medical Toxicologist with peer recognition of excellence and a fellow of the American College of Medical Toxicology (FACMT). He is adjunct Associate Professor of Toxicology at the University of South Florida, College of Public Health, Department of Occupational and Environmental Toxicology. Additionally Dr. Lugo has Doctorate studies in Toxicology from the University of Minnesota, with Master Degree in Public Health from the University of Texas Houston, School of Public Health. Dr. Lugo has his Master’s Degree on Science (Toxicology) from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Lugo was a Poison Specialist Certified by the American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC) from 1988-2010. He is a Member of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology (AACT), and Member of the Society of Toxicology (SOT). He has over 28 years of experience and knowledge performing medical toxicological assessments on individuals and communities exposed to toxic substances such as pesticides, heavy metals, industrial and environmental chemicals substances both at the community level as well as occupationally. In addition Dr. Lugo has 10 years experience teaching occupational toxicology, and 28 years experience as a Medical Doctor, he Graduated from the School of Medicine at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and did his 3 years of medical residency in Neurolinguistics at the General Hospital of Mexico City. Dr. Lugo has several years of experience teaching and working in Latin American Countries.
Dr. Lugo personally perform and overseas each toxicology investigation applying Toxicology Health Assessment methodologies to gather health data and environmental data. Currently he provides toxicology consulting services to private corporations, government agencies and law firms in the USA, and Latin America. Dr. Lugo is also the regional Director & instructor of AHLS from the University of Arizona www.ahls.org. He’s assessed and treated thousands of patients exposed to industrial and environmental chemicals, pharmaceutical drugs, drugs of abuse, & consumer products. He has both national and international experience assisting industrial corporations that manufacture, use, process and/or transport industrial chemicals.

Throughout the years I’ve been working with people from diverse professional backgrounds, as well as people from all levels of education, social, economic, political, racial, and religious backgrounds. I’m very respectful to other people’s personalities, religious believes, political orientation, or gender preferences. During my work I like to provide excellent professional results.
I also have 15 years experience assisting Federal Public Defenders on mitigation of Capital Punishment Cases and have been assisting attorneys and law firms on other criminal and civil cases. I’ve been performing toxicology consulting services and investigations throughout the United States of America, Mexico and other Latin American countries.
